Second Edition of the popular Russian-language New York Restaurant Guide set to be published in January 2006. Advertisers are invited to participate.

The 2006 Edition of the Popular New York Russian Language Restaurant Guide is set to be published in January. The guide, upon its launch in 2005, became a premier source of information for the Russian-speakers on New York City dinning. Russian-Americans residing in New York spend approximately $850 million dollars annually on eating out. Yet, until recently, there was no guide to the New York City restaurant landscape. The New York Restaurant Guide, published by Press Release Group (with support from Time Out New York) provided community with the information on New York’s restaurant scene. The guide helped members of the community to explore the culinary capital of the world.

The guide featured more than 500 restaurant reviews, all written by professional restaurant critics specifically for the guide, with attention to the target audience and its special requirements to dining. All reviews were unpaid and unbiased. Advertisers did not receive any preferential treatment, and reviewers did not accept free meals from the establishments.

The guide became an instant hit in the community, becoming a bestseller and the “official information source” on restaurants.

The second edition of the Guide will have some important new features, including new sections, like Kosher restaurants and Luxury Restaurants, and also a section on celebrated New York’s Chefs. The number of pages will increase from 196 to 224.

Guide proved to be an effective means of communication with the most affluent segment of the 1.5 million Russian-speaking newyorkers, the restaurant goers. Press Release Group invites advertisers to take advantage of this advertising opportunity.
